Brimfield Select Board appoints new Council on Aging Director and renews disputed fuel storage license. The board unanimously appointed Susan Staples Holt as Council on Aging Director at $28 per hour at its January 12 meeting, with Vice Chair Crystal McGuire casting the only dissenting vote on the pay rate after a motion to start Holt at $26 per hour failed for lack of a second. A $23,955.86 National Grid contract to connect the town's public water supply well to electrical service was approved, drawn from $90,000 previously voted by the town, and a $2,560 occupancy load study for the Town Hall annex was authorized after the building commissioner confirmed the annex has never had a legally required occupancy rating issued.
