BRIMFIELD --

TOWN -- Brimfield Recreation, the town's youth sports arm, is promoting registration for its fall programs. The department's website describes soccer as "kicking off a great season in Brimfield," with divisions for Pre-K through Kindergarten, Grades 1-2 (5v5), Grades 3-4 (7v7), and Grades 5-6 (9v9). Baseball, offered in fall and spring, runs from T-Ball (Pre-K to Kindergarten) through Coach Pitch (Grades 1-2), Minors (Grades 3-4), and Majors (Grades 5-6). Softball, also a fall/spring offering, is available for Grades 3-4 and 5-6. Winter basketball registration is being advertised as well, spanning Pre-K through Grades 7-8. Families can register and check schedules through Sports Connect, linked from the department's site. Brimfield Recreation describes itself as a volunteer-run organization operating under the Brimfield Athletic Association, noting that "every registration fee goes directly back into fields, equipment, and programming." The department also points families to its Zero Tolerance Policy, concussion policy, and background-check requirements for coaches, and directs residents to its Facebook page for schedule updates and weather cancellations.

No Brimfield High School contests were listed for this period, according to ArbiterLive.
